Is this project still alive? I was looking for a tool like this but when I've found this one it didn't actually work on any of my two Sony Xperias (P and Z2).
One more test at my friend's Doogee (F5?), could get a bit further, the network could be manipulated for a while but after that it froze, we never managed to complete matching the network over the page.

DeleteThe Z2 is strictly speaking D6503 with Android 5.1.1 (6.0.0 has not yet reached my region although it seems to be available for other regions).
DeleteI get up to the photo with the network drawn over it but cannot manually adjust the network.
The Xperia P is not that important (for me), I've mentioned it just to express that it is not an issue of a single phone type (or even piece).
